World War One Remembered – A Historical Society Program

 

The Stanly County Historical Society and Stanly County History Center to present an observance of 100 years since the Armistice of 1918, World War I Remembered. Speaker is Charlie Knight, who is the Curator of Military History from the North Carolina Museum of History, plus World War I music, stories, and poems. This even will be Sunday, November 11th, 2018 at 2:30 PM. It is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Walter B. Hill Event Center at the American Legion Post 76 at the Stanly County Fairgrounds at 24302 South Business 52. All veterans will be recognized. Following the program, please visit the World War I Exhibit at the Stanly County History Center at 157 North Second Street in Albemarle, NC. The exhibit is also open during regular hours that The History Center is open.
