Hitler at the Obersalzberg – A Historical Society Program

The Stanly County Historical Society will be presenting a program featuring Dr. J.C. Boone, who will share some of his research documented in his book, “Hitler at the Obersalzberg”. The program will be held in the Fellowship Center of the First Baptist Church in Albemarle. Parking is available at the rear of the church. This event will take place on Thursday, January 24th, 2019 at 6:30 PM.

While serving in the U.S. Army, J.C. Boone was stationed in Berchtesgaden, Germany. He was Director of Publicity and Public Relations for the U.S. Armed Forces Recreation Centers of Berchtesgaden and Garmish. It was here that his interest in Hitler peaked. His research led him to have exclusive interviews with Hitler’s sister, Hitler’s immediate superior on the French and Belgian fronts during WWI and Hitler’s personal pilot. In 2011 Dr. Boone was invited by ZDF German national television to assist with the filming of a documentary that has since been showin the USA on the National Geographic TV channel. Come here J.C. tell of his fascinating experiences.
